PAINTING SCHOOL

After teaching one-on-one lessons since 2017, Rachelle launched her first group art class post-pandemic and from these grew a community of emerging painters now known as The Painting School. 

The Painting School runs as a fortnightly Saturday art class that is project focused. Specialising in realistic oil painting each class is 2hr in length and facilitates painters who are beginners to advanced. Each class is designed to equip and strengthen participants in their understanding of the foundational elements of value, perspective, temperature and skin tones. With a pay-as-you-go* format, students are invited to bring along a canvas and photo reference of their choice to work on their artwork, at their own pace. Class times run from 11am-1pm and 2pm-4pm. Paints are provided.

Participants of Rachelle’s oil painting workshops are able to attend at any given time. New students must apply for the waitlist. 

*New students are asked to commit to the first 6 lessons in order for Rachelle to help establish the foundations for them to attend existing painting groups.
